I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you. Psalm 32:8
Always seek God before you speak so that He can saturate your mind with positive thoughts. Do not speak or act without consulting with God. He is your counsel, your redeemer and the ultimate judge of your thoughts, words, and actions. God can protect you from the vicious results of allowing the devil to control your mind and your thoughts. You must seek God wholeheartedly so that He can consume all of your thoughts and direct your words and actions. Every time you feel the need to speak or act in a negative way you must stop and realize that the devil is trying to dictate your words and actions. The hardest part of directing the ways of the devil will be to flip your mind from negative thoughts to positive thoughts like a light switch. Your mind is the battlefield for your thoughts where many battles will take place on a daily basis. You must seek God in these battles of good versus evil in order to allow Him to take over all your battles with the devil. Once you allow God to rule the battlefield in your mind the devil will not even stand a chance.
LET'S PRAY: Dear Heavenly Father, I want to please You with the words I say, the actions I make, and every thought in my mind. Reveal to me where my words, thoughts, or actions are not pleasing in Your sight. I want to be slow-to-anger, and quick-to-forgive. Give me the strength to let go of any anger, grief, and negative thoughts within me. May lust, greed, envy, anger, and evil thoughts from the devil never take root in my heart. I want to seek You in all that I do. I want all my actions, words, and thoughts to glorify You, and be done out of Your love that rules in my heart. I want to make wiser decisions that will benefit me and all those I love. I invite You to walk with me, teach me, guide me, and counsel me. I invite You to dwell in me as Your Word dwells in my heart. Increase my wisdom and my understanding. May I always rely on You for everything, and put You first in everything. Lord, teach, instruct, counsel, and guide me every day, and in everything. Help me to keep my eyes, and my mind focused on Your Word. Lord, You are the Way, the Truth, and the Life. You give me life because all power belongs to You. You are the Mighty Healer, the Great Physician, the Just Lord, the Holy and True Redeemer. I ask that You give me the wisdom to speak right. May the words I speak be pleasing in Your sight. May my thoughts be pure, and may my actions be blessings upon all my brother and sisters. In the name of Your Son Jesus Christ we pray, Amen
