Wisdom calls aloud outside; She raises her voice in the broad places.
At the head of the noisy streets she cries out, At the openings of the gates, In the city she speaks her words:
How long, you simple ones, Would you love simplicity, And shall scoffers delight in their scoffing, And fools hate knowledge?
Turn at my reproof. See, I pour out my spirit on you, I make my words known to you.
Because I called and you refused, I have stretched out my hand and no one inclined,
And you spurned all my counsel, And would not yield to my reproof,
Let me also laugh at your calamity, Mock when your dread comes,
When your dread comes like a storm, And your calamity comes like a whirlwind, When distress and anguish come upon you.
Let them then call on me, but I answer not; Let them seek me, but not find me.
Because they hated knowledge And did not choose the fear of Yahweh,
They did not accept my counsel, They despised all my reproof,
Therefore let them eat the fruit of their own way, And be filled with their own counsels.
For the turning away of the simple kills them, And the complacency of fools destroys them.
But whoever listens to me dwells safely, And is at ease from the dread of evil.
Proverbs 1:20-33 TS2009
As wisdom calls aloud in the streets, America stands at a defining moment—a turning point that challenges her to heed the wisdom that has been so readily available but often ignored. In the hustle and bustle of the noisy streets and at the gates of our cities, wisdom cries out, seeking those who will listen, asking, "How long will you love simplicity? How long will you delight in scoffing and hate knowledge?" This timeless call echoes through the corridors of time, urging us to turn away from the path of foolishness, where complacency and disregard for truth lead to destruction. America faces a crucial decision: to continue down the path of self-deception, division, and moral decay, or to heed the call to wisdom and embrace the reproof and guidance offered. The people have spurned wisdom’s counsel, rejected truth, and chosen a path that leads to calamity. The consequences of this choice are already beginning to unfold, as distress and anguish sweep across the land. Yet, wisdom’s promise is clear: those who listen to her words and turn toward her counsel will dwell safely, shielded from the fear that seeks to engulf them. The turning point for America lies in her response to this call—a decision to return to the knowledge of the truth and the fear of Yahweh, to accept reproof, and to live in the wisdom that leads to peace, justice, and prosperity. The choice is before us: will we continue to ignore wisdom, or will we allow her to lead us into a new era of enlightenment and restoration?
