God is amazing!

I am the youngest of four girls, and my Mom will be 101 this year! She has lived with me for two years, and as I've moved to NC a month ago, the plan was for her to come too! As I packed up our Michigan home of 40+ years, I took her to my sisters for two weeks while I followed the moving van. Unfortunately during those two weeks, she fell twice, and the second time broke her hip. She was transferred to a hospital for the surgery. Everyone told me she won't make it thru the surgery; I smiled and said God is in charge. She sailed thru that and was released after three days to a skilled nursing facility for PT. Again, I was told she probably isn't going to do well - again I smiled and said that's God's decision, not ours. Then I was scheduled to fly to DTW to pick her up and again, the phone call came. She has fallen again. Meanwhile my flight was cancelled due to heavy flooding which closed down DTW. Off to ER she went, again, and nothing was broken but her potassium levels were too high. She received an infusion which brought levels back to normal, which would not have happened in the SNF. Again, God was in control. Tomorrow I fly back to MI to bring her home with me. My sisters tell me she probably won't do well, and again I smile - the prayers have been plentiful and God is taking care of his child. I'm content in my heart that when he wants to take her home, he will. Until then, I know how blessed we are!
